Adding Touches of Fall to Your Home Decor

Every year around this time, I am antsy for cooler weather and Sweaters and all the pumpkins one can handle! I love this time of year. My birthday is in the fall and a lot of my favorite childhood memories like going to the MidSouth Fair, was always this time of year. Needless to say, I get very excited when the PSL comes back to Starbucks and the stores start stocking the shelves with fall decorations. I like to start on my decor a little early so I can enjoy it for awhile.

I usually go all out for Halloween and have little touches of Fall sprinkled in, but this year I have decided to it the other way around. Over this past week, I have made numerous trips to Hobby Lobby and Target to get more fall decorations and start decorating. I have my interior done and wanted to show you the final result!

I place most of the fall decor in the main living areas such as the living room, Dining room, Den and Kitchen. I even placed a few things in the Hall bath to give it that extra touch. I bought some new wicker pumpkins, white pumpkins, fabric pumpkins and lots of vase fillers to scatter throughout. My main areas of focus are the trays on the two coffee tables, my fireplace hearth and the bookcases in my living room. Then I take what is left and scatter them throughout. I always try to pick one or two main areas of interest to create a focal point in each room.

This is the Fireplace Hearth where I put my main Fall centerpiece.

When decorating for fall, choose your theme first. If you don't have a theme, choose your color scheme and then purchase or re-purpose items you already have to match that color scheme. Then start with your main area you want to decorate and get it just the way you want it before you start decorating other areas. You don't want a bunch of randomly placed items that do not have a cohesive look and feel about them.

I hope you get some inspiration from my decor and how I have placed things. Decorating is one of my passions and I love doing it.

Happy Fall Everyone!

I have linked everything that I could with the 21 buttons app. So, if you see something you like, you can shop there. Some items were things I have had a few years and could not find online. As always, you can always message me on instagram or email me at thedelphajewel@gmail.com.
