Happy Thursday everyone! Its been awhile since I wrote a blog post and the reason for that is over the Holidays, I started doing a ton of research on how to really be successful with my blog and how to be a better influencer. I have been so excited to write this post since I signed up for LadyBossBlogger’s How To Make Money As An Influencer course! I started blogging back in May of last year and was so overwhelmed with all of the information out there. I spent countless hours doing tons of research and had already started posting content. Finding your niche – This is so important so that you can connect with other people in your niche and determine your target audience!
Claiming your blog domain name – When I started out, I started with Wix's free version. I soon realized in order to be able to monetize my blog and work with retailers such as Amazon, that I needed my own domain. I waited for them to offer one of their half off sales and purchased my own domain and email.
Email Marketing – This section has all the tips on creating your email marketing strategy. If you are like me and want to "own" your customers , then you need to have an email list. What if your Instagram account was deleted or closed? What would you do? If you have an email list, you still have access to your followers and don't have to start over from scratch. I found this section to be the most important topic for me to focus on first. If you want to have a newsletter, this is a must read section!
Affiliate Marketing – Honestly, this confuses me a lot. I will be reading through this section a few more times. However, it walks you through how to make a passive income with affiliate marketing and the tools you need to get started.
How to Keep Track of Your Earnings – Loved this section because it helps you with everything you need to be legal and compliant with the IRS.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED
This course not only provided me with the tools I need to be a successful blogger/influencer, It also gave me unlimited resources such as 36 sites to join to get sponsored post opportunities and the top affiliate sites to work with. One thing that I will work towards in the next few weeks is starting an email marketing campaign and creating incentives (freebies) for my followers to join my email (subscribe) list.
